Who is Consultant Advantage for?
Transportation consultants (individuals or firms), experts, researchers,
or anyone within the transporatation industry looking to make their qualifications
know to the transportation consulting industry.
Is Consultant Advantage a job board or for job seekers?
No. Consultant Advantage is geared towards individuals or firms looking to
work together on consulting opportunities. As such, it is geared towards the
presentation of qualifications in a manner applicable to current consulting
work.
Is Consultant Advantage a directory of consultants?
Yes, and so much more. Like a directory, Consultant Advantage presents information
regarding a consulting individual and firm, but more than a directory,
Consultant Advantage provides specific details about member's qualifications.
Plus, Consultant Advantage provides a variety powerful search capabilites
that allow members to find exactly the right individual or firm to work with
for competitive proposals. The site allows you to search via geographic location,
expertise area, project history, and more.
How do I view
RFP notices?
Once you sign up and create your membership, you have access to a limited number of selected RFPs. If you subscribe to the RFP Express Service, you gain complete access to all the RFPs (40-80 different RFPs, at any given time), with 15-25 new RFPs added every week.
What if I only want
to post my information and not conduct any searches?
You have the option of doing this and there is no cost for doing this. There
is no cost in signing up and creating a profile, and there is not even any
cost for searching the Consultant Advantage database. This is one of the benefits
of Consultant Advantage. If you create a profile, other transportation consultants
will be able to see your information and potentially contact you for consulting
opportunites, at no cost to you.
How many times can
I conduct searches?
As many times as you would like. There is no cost to do any of the searches
Consultant Advantage makes available.
Should I sign up as
an individual or firm?
If you work as an independent consultant, you should sign up as an individual.
If you work for a firm, you should sign up as a firm. However, there is no
restricition on signing up as an individual, even if you work for a firm.
Does Consultant Advantage
make the information stored in its member database available to anyone besides
other members?
No. However, Consultant Advantage may make aggregate information and statistics
about our membership public for marketing purposes.
I have worked 30 transportation projects over the last 20 years. Do I need
to enter all of these into my profile?
The decision on how much or how little information to enter into your profile
is entirely up to you. You have the option of entering all the projects, or
just a representative sample. Consultant Advantage allows you to modify your
profile at any time.
Is this service just for those living and working in North America?
No. Firms or individuals outside of North America are welcome and encouraged
to participate.
