Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important
to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our
online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your
information is collected and used.
The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on this website.
Consultant Advantage is a forum for the exchange of information for the sake
of developing working professional relationships among members. All members
who sign up to use the service agree to a posted User Agreement and submit
information on a voluntary basis. As a part of the normal operation of the
site detailed professional and contact information is voluntarily submitted
by members.
The Way We Use Information:
The purpose and mission
of the site is to facilitate the exchange of professional credentials among
members of the site. The information collected and stored by the site can
be divided into two categories. The first category is information gathered
during the "sign up" process. This information is used for the purposes
of registration with the site, use of the service, and billing for the service.
Information in this category will be kept confidential and not shared with
third parties. We may use this information in aggregate and non-identifying
ways to improve our site or share with advertisers.
The second category is
information gathered during the creation of a member profile. The creation
of a profile is completely optional and not a requirement for use of other
features of the site (such as searching the database). A user may create a
profile at any time. At any time, a user may opt to "activate" his
or her profile. When a profile is activated, it becomes a part of the Consultant
Advantage database, and may be viewed by other Consultant Advantage members.
If you are a member and activate a profile, you may receive unsolicited correspondence
from other Consultant Advantage members. Please note that Consultant Advantage
is only a facilitator and bears no responsibility for any consequences that
may result from interactions between members. A user may "deactivate"
and make their profile information no longer public, at any time. A user may
edit their profile information at any time. Finally, we never use or share
the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated
to the ones described
above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit
such unrelated uses.
Cookies
We employ the use of session
cookies for the convenience and protection of our members.
Our Commitment To Data
Security
To prevent unauthorized
access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information,
we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures
to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
How You Can Access
Or Correct Your Information
Once logged in to the
site, there will be a menu of options to the left of the page. Under the heading
"My Profile", are two options, "View", and "Change".
Click "View" to see the contents of your profile, if you have an
activated profile. Click "Change" to access a series of pages that
will allow you to change any of the information you entered while signing
